Become an integral part of Fraser Health as an Addictions Medicine Consult Team Nurse, where your skills will help clients navigate their recovery journey. This nursing role combines clinical expertise with compassionate care.
As an AMCT Nurse at Fraser Health, you will deliver individualized care to clients with substance-use issues while collaborating with a broad care team. Your responsibilities will include conducting evaluations, monitoring treatment plans, and engaging clients in their recovery through supportive relationships. You will employ harm-reduction strategies and provide essential education to foster resilience and long-term recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct substance-use screening and assessments
• Implement personalized treatment and action plans
• Support clients through crisis and emergent situations
• Oversee medication administration and side effects
• Document assessments and follow client progress
Requirements:
• Current registration as an RN/RPN in British Columbia
• Minimum two years of relevant nursing experience
• Familiarity with community mental health resources
• Strong skills in counseling and motivational interviewing
• Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
