Pediatric nursing at Surrey Memorial Hospital centers on comprehensive assessment, care planning, and family-centered support. Work with an experienced Fraser Health team in British Columbia.
The Registered Nurse, Pediatrics provides direct care to pediatric inpatients and select ambulatory clinic patients. You will assess conditions, plan interventions, evaluate outcomes, and collaborate with families, physicians, and inter-professional providers. The position follows BCCNM standards and Fraser Health values.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess pediatric patients on admission and at regular intervals
- Plan, provide, and evaluate nursing interventions
- Coordinate care and update discharge plans
- Teach families about health maintenance and self-care
- Document assessments, interventions, outcomes, and referrals
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing
- Current practicing BCCNM registration as a Registered Nurse
- One year of recent related clinical nursing experience
- Postgraduate coursework or certification, or equivalent preparation
- Proficiency initiating and maintaining intravenous therapy
