Position: Arborist Apprentice with BCPHC

As an Arborist Apprentice, you will perform a variety of tasks under supervision that includes assisting tree climbers, pruning trees, and using specialized tools. This position requires a high school diploma; certifications like WHMIS 2015 and First Aid are mandatory. Your work will mainly take place in the field, handling both heavy machinery and hand tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in rigging and removing tree limbs

• Operate various chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lift trucks

• Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance

• Support arboricultural tasks like tree planting and pests management

• Maintain a safe work environment while interacting with clients

Requirements:

• High School Diploma; post-secondary education preferred

• WHMIS 2015 and First Aid Certification required

• Work experience in Arboriculture or Landscaping appreciated

• Class 5 Driver's Licence or intent to obtain

• Strong commitment to safety practices
