As a Grounds Maintenance Specialist, you will perform essential tasks to maintain the cemetery and funeral home grounds.
Your role includes mowing, fertilizing, and operating landscaping equipment, ensuring all areas comply with safety standards. This position aims to provide a respectful and serene environment for families and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Mow grass and plow snow to maintain ground cleanliness
• Operate lawn equipment like mowers, blowers, and trimmers
• Clean debris, including wilted flowers and trash
• Assist with interment and entombment openings and closings
• Perform minor repairs to cemetery systems
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 6 months relevant experience
• Ability to operate hand-held tools safely
• Strong communication skills with families and associates
• Basic computer skills for email communication
