Quality Control Technician (6 Month Contract)
Surrey, BC | $26/hour | Friday to Sunday, 4:00AM – 4:00PM

FuzeHR is currently hiring a Temporary Quality Control Technician for a growing food manufacturing company in Surrey, BC. If you're passionate about food quality, enjoy hands‑on work, and thrive in a collaborative production environment, we'd love to meet you!
This is a temporary opportunity expected to last 6 months, with strong possibility of extension and/or potential for permanent employment based on performance and business needs.

- Conduct pre-operational inspections before production begins.
- Collect and analyze product samples from the production floor.
- Perform sensory and analytical testing on finished products.
- Verify raw materials and finished products meet established specifications.
- Monitor in‑process production activities and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, sanitation, hygiene, and food safety programs.
- Verify Critical Control Points (CCPs) and support audit readiness.
- Investigate quality issues and complete corrective action reports.
- Maintain accurate production, quality, and compliance records.
- Calibrate testing equipment and assist in troubleshooting production systems.
- Monitor QA inventory levels and maintain department supplies.
- Conduct routine and spot inspections throughout the facility.
- Minimum 1 year of Quality Control or Quality Assurance experience within a food manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, food safety, and sanitation programs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable preparing reports and maintaining accurate records.
- Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, and data entry systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and time‑management skills.
