In this position, you will collaborate with the BC Government on vital research projects, including the monitoring of bees and other invertebrates. Candidates should expect to work efficiently both independently and in teams while staying organized in managing data and specimens gathered during field investigations. Physical endurance and adaptability are crucial to successful performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct various invertebrate field surveys
• Maintain accurate and organized survey data records
• Collaborate with project teams during data collection
• Engage in both day trips and longer overnight fieldwork
• Use various collection techniques in diverse habitats
Requirements:
• Meet Canada Summer Job criteria for eligibility
• Education in environmental sciences required
• Must have prior experience in field inventorying
• Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license mandatory
• OFA Level 1 First Aid certification is essential
