Assistant Department Manager, Bakery
Location:
South Point Save-On-Foods, Surrey, BC. Full‑time, 40 hours per week. Availability for all shifts required.
- Assist in leading a team, acting as a coach, mentor, and resource.
- Foster a positive environment focused on "Always Customer First" service.
- Engage and retain team members through training, development, performance management, rewards/recognition, and identifying future leaders.
- Communicate important messages with the team.
- Develop entrepreneurial strategies using community, competitive environment, and industry knowledge to grow the business.
- Monitor stock levels accurately.
- Previous retail or customer service experience (considered an asset).
- Food Safe Certification.
- Passion for great food and outstanding customer service.
- Strong work ethic, proactive "let’s get it done" attitude.
