Applied Industrial Technologies is currently seeking and has an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Customer Service Representative at our Surrey, BC location.
In this role, you will provide our customers with expert assistance to a wide variety of questions and problems. Unlike most CSR roles, you will build ongoing business relationships with our customers through repeated contact and consultation. As this is a service and parts center, our ability to get customers’ business often depends on your ability to quickly and efficiently provide them with the right parts and/or solutions – especially when customers are experiencing costly equipment breakdowns.
You may also occasionally have hands‑on duties that will require mechanical aptitude.
- Inside Sales responsibilities
- Directly engaged in all sales activities
- Maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge of the company’s service offerings
- Prospecting for new customers and demonstrating product benefits
- Build ongoing relationships with customers
- Responding to customer product inquiries both in person (branch) and via phone/email
- Providing support to the outside sales force
- Ensuring accurate, timely order processing through the computerized order processing system
- 2 or more years of Industrial or Fluid Power components sales experience
- Self‑motivated
- Enthusiastic and exhibits a positive attitude and desire to succeed
- Interest in customer satisfaction and desire to provide excellent service always
- Ability to multitask in a busy office environment while maintaining professionalism at all times
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- Analytical and problem‑solving capability
- Computer literacy with focus on Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
- SAP experience would be an asset
In accordance with the provincial wage transparency requirements, the expected base compensation for this position is $50,000–$65,000 per year (or more) depending on relevant experience, technical competencies, certifications, etc.
