Embark on a challenging career as a Gunner in the Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery. This role combines artillery operation, maintenance, and various systems in diverse terrains.
As a Gunner, you’ll be vital in surveillance, target acquisition, and employing artillery systems like howitzers and uncrewed aerial systems. You’ll engage with combat arms and support units on the battlefield. Initial postings are available across five regiments, with the option to serve full-time or part-time as part of the Primary Reserve.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain 105mm and 155mm howitzers
• Utilize Ground Based Air Defense Systems effectively
• Manage surveillance and target acquisition systems
• Operate various military vehicles including TAPV and LAV 6.0
• Handle command-post computers and laser range-finders
Requirements:
• No previous experience necessary
• Minimum Grade 10 education or equivalent
• Willingness to relocate for full-time positions
• Ability to meet CAF physical fitness standards
• Interest in artillery operations and technologies
