These positions are for on-site Event Security roles based in the Lower Mainland, B.C at this time. The Event Security team member will monitor event entrances and exits, verify credentials or tickets, and ensure that only authorized individuals access restricted areas. This role includes performing regular patrols of event grounds, identifying and reporting safety or security concerns, and responding calmly and promptly to incidents or emergencies.
The individual will provide clear directions and assistance to guests, support crowd control and line management, and help enforce event rules and venue policies. The Event Security professional will also complete basic incident reports, communicate effectively with supervisors and other security staff, and maintain a professional, approachable presence throughout the event.
- Strong customer service and communication skills to assist guests, de-escalate situations, and interact professionally with event stakeholders.
- Familiarity with event planning or event operations to understand crowd flow, venue layouts, and basic event procedures.
- Comfort supporting event marketing or promotional activities by providing directions, information, and a positive guest experience (an asset, not required).
- Ability to support basic sales-related interactions at entry points, such as directing guests to ticketing or resolving simple access questions (an asset, not required).
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, hospitality, or customer-facing roles preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and work in varying weather conditions.
- Availability to work days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays, depending on event schedules.
- High school diploma or equivalent; valid security license as required by local regulations.
- Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and commitment to safety and privacy.
- Radio communication skills is a big asset.
- Good command of English speaking and written skills required.
