Aerospace Control Officers are responsible for managing air operations and ensuring airborne safety across Canada and international territories. Candidates must successfully complete both basic and advanced training programs to qualify for this position. The role includes responsibilities in civilian and military air traffic operations and may require deployment across various locations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee airspace surveillance and control operations
• Coordinate with military fighter jets during training and missions
• Manage air traffic services for civilian aircraft
• Execute techniques in live aircraft control and navigation
• Participate in Defence exercises and simulations
Requirements:
• Successfully complete officer training and selection processes
• Hold or pursue a university degree relevant to aerospace
• Availability for assignments within and outside Canada
• Flexibility for relocation in military postings
• Options for part-time service in the Primary Reserve
