Commissionaires BC is recruiting a Security Officer for weekend shifts supporting its Newton BIA area work. The position requires public-facing service, extensive foot patrols, and confident de-escalation. You will work Saturday and Sunday from 0800 to 1600.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct extensive foot patrols throughout the Newton BIA area
Work with local businesses and community members
Deal professionally with various members of the public
Think on your feet and solve problems
Work independently or as part of a team
Requirements:
Valid British Columbia security license
Minimum two years of security position experience
Basic First Aid Certificate
Advanced Security Training Certificate
De-escalation and Naloxone Training certifications
Bring communication, organization, and patrol readiness to Commissionaires BC’s weekend security service in Surrey’s Newton BIA area.
