Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is required to perform tasks involved in the upkeep of the building and grounds, installation, maintenance, maintaining and repairing of hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, mechanical and electrical systems on all production machines, equipment and building. The incumbent is expected to be a self-starter, a good manager of time, work independently and follow Pretium’s standards for safety and conduct.

• Receives and follows up on assigned equipment work orders on a daily
• Upon completion of work, enters appropriate information onto worksheet for submission and filing and/or enters into Work Order system for filing and tracking.
• Reads schematics in order to trouble shoot hydraulic / pneumatic and electrical
• Responsible for reading, editing, monitoring and modifying ladder
• Ability to read, edit, monitor + modify ladder
• Performs scheduled PM’s; visually inspect and test assigned machines and equipment for proper
• Perform repairs on production machines and/or equipment when a malfunction has been detected. May discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem and repair the
• Lay out, assemble, install and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment.
• Maintain machinery, equipment and tools by cleaning, lubricating, greasing and/or oiling to ensure optimum working order.
• Performs preventive maintenance and makes repairs to heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment according to instructions such as replacing belts on motors, changing filters, bearings, etc Perform machine installations/moves and building maintenance tasks as needed.
• Assists workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and
• Performs minor electrical work not requiring a licensed electrician such as replacing light bulbs and
• Ensures that a high level of safety is adhered to at all times on and off the production
• Responsible for conducting him/herself in a safe manner and adhering to all required safety protocols and
