Make a difference in Surrey, BC as a Pregnancy Outreach Worker with Atira Women’s Resource Society. This part-time position focuses on providing vital support for at-risk pregnant women.
Atira invites applications for the role of Pregnancy Outreach Worker, integral to their Maxxine Wright Place program. You will engage with women facing social challenges and facilitate access to services that promote healthy pregnancies.
Your role will involve working in an inclusive, anti-oppressive framework.
Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with local health and service organizations
• Support women at social risk during pregnancy
• Provide guidance in navigating support systems
• Create a safe, trauma-informed space for clients
• Advocate for women's needs and well-being
Requirements:
• Diploma in a related field or equivalent experience
• One year of recent experience in social services needed
• Required certifications:
First Aid & Crisis Intervention
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and vehicle access required
• Emphasis on lived experience in the community welcome
