Position: Housing Support Worker for Youth
Join Newton Youth Hub as a Housing Support Worker focused on helping vulnerable youth achieve stable housing. This full-time role includes flexible hours and direct support to youths aged up to 24.

The Outreach Housing Worker assists individuals at risk of homelessness in Surrey and Delta through the Surrey Reaching Home Program. As part of the Youth Housing team, you will offer personalized case management, life skills training, and advocacy.

Your role involves establishing trusting relationships with youth while coordinating with social workers and various community resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide housing support to vulnerable youth and young adults

• Develop individualized service plans in partnership with youth

• Support participants in maintaining connections with education and work

• Collaborate with community organizations and service providers

• Maintain accurate case notes and monitor youth progress

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience with vulnerable youth

• 2-Year Diploma in Child and Youth Care or related field

• Strong communication and time management skills

• Understanding of housing legislation and tenant rights

• Experience in culturally inclusive environments
