Position: Outreach Worker for At-Risk Pregnancies
Become a vital part of Atira Women’s Resource Society in Surrey as an Outreach Worker focused on pregnant women. This part-time position requires you to work from Thursday to Saturday while advocating for at-risk populations.

This role involves supporting women who are pregnant and facing numerous social barriers. Your responsibilities include helping them access health services and providing a safe, trauma-informed environment. This position requires sensitivity towards the dynamics of gendered violence and the ability to engage with diverse communities, ensuring a comprehensive approach to care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate access to health services for pregnant women

• Provide support for women facing violence or homelessness

• Work with health professionals to enhance client outcomes

• Create an inclusive and supportive program atmosphere

• Implement woman-centered approaches in service delivery

Requirements:

• Diploma in related field or comparable experience

• One year of community service work experience

• First Aid and Non-Violent Crisis certificates required

• Valid driver’s license with insurance during work hours

• Comfort in harm reduction and advocacy for women
