Make a difference with Options Community Services as an Intake Coordinator, assessing client needs and guiding them to vital resources. This role emphasizes proactive support and smooth onboarding experiences for vulnerable populations.
The Intake Specialist will report to the Program Manager while checking client eligibility and facilitating access to services for refugee claimants and newcomers. Your responsibilities will include managing inquiries, conducting assessments, and maintaining accurate data. Strong adaptability and communication skills will be key to enhancing service delivery and community outreach.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate client eligibility with the BC NSP Eligibility Matrix
• Handle urgent requests for refugee services
• Conduct needs assessments and inform clients about services
• Maintain confidential records and manage program data
• Assist in quality improvement and strategic planning efforts
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in business administration or related fields
• One year minimum experience with vulnerable and diverse populations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
• Understanding intercultural dynamics and crisis intervention techniques
