Make a difference as a Youth Outreach Worker at City Centre Youth Hub in Surrey, BC. Support youth aged 13-18 with complex needs through the YOESS Program while ensuring emotional and physical well-being.
This full-time float position requires an experienced outreach worker to build relationships with youth, understand their unique challenges, and offer tailored support. You'll focus on mental health, housing stability, and community engagement while collaborating with families, community organizations, and service providers to create positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess individual youth needs and create care plans
• Build supportive relationships to facilitate connections
• Collaborate with stakeholders, families, and organizations
• Utilize Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Counselling
• Provide addiction and mental health support
Requirements:
• 2-Year Diploma in Child and Youth Care or related field
• Minimum 1 year outreach experience
• Understanding of youth trauma and resilience
• Additional training in mental health and addictions preferred
• Flexibility for varied work hours including evenings
