Position: Youth Housing Outreach Worker at Newton Youth Hub
Support at-risk youth in Surrey as a Housing Outreach Worker at Newton Youth Hub. This full-time role involves direct engagement with young people to address housing instability and support their growth.

The Outreach Housing Worker provides crucial case management services as part of Surrey Reaching Home Program. You will work with youths up to 24 years old facing homelessness, fostering supportive relationships and developing personalized plans. Collaborating with various professionals, you will also organize community resources and interventions needed for housing stability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer tailored housing support to youth facing homelessness

• Collaborate on personalized service plans with each youth

• Assist with connections to educational and employment resources

• Partner with community organizations and advocacy groups

• Keep thorough documentation on youth engagement and progress

Requirements:

• 1 year of relevant experience with vulnerable youth

• 2-Year Diploma or higher in Child and Youth Care

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Understanding of housing-related laws and documentation

• Capability to foster a culturally inclusive atmosphere
