Position: Cree Community Worker - Social Services Role
Support and empower the Cree community as a dedicated Community Worker. This position emphasizes collaborative action, mental health awareness, and cultural understanding in social service initiatives.

As a resource person for community groups, you'll identify needs and implement relevant programs. Qualifications include a diploma in social work techniques or relevant experience in the field. Your work will involve engaging with multidisciplinary teams and promoting healing practices in Eeyou Istchee.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and address community social needs

• Facilitate community action programs and resources

• Work closely with medical and social services personnel

• Conduct interviews and provide counseling support

• Educate on mental health and addiction issues

Requirements:

• Must have a diploma in social work or specialization

• Consideration for those with a High School Diploma

• 1 year of relevant experience is advantageous

• Fluent in Cree and English, knowledge of French is beneficial

• Understanding of local social and health issues
