Become an Outreach Worker at Lookout Housing and Health Society in Surrey, BC, providing crucial support for those facing housing and health challenges. Empower clients to achieve stability and independence.
This role is casual and requires reporting to the Designated Manager while following Lookout’s ethical standards. Outreach Workers assist clients dealing with addictions and mental health issues and facilitate access to essential services. You'll also participate in training initiatives for staff and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support adults in achieving stable living situations
• Develop plans to address client challenges
• Implement crisis intervention strategies when needed
• Document and maintain accurate client records
• Facilitate training of staff and volunteers
Requirements:
• Diploma or Grade 12 plus 2 years related experience
• Crisis Intervention Skills Training is an asset
• Must hold a Class 5 Driver’s Licence
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Criminal Record Clearance – Vulnerable Sector
