Lookout Housing and Health Society is hiring a Tenant Support Worker in Surrey, BC, to assist tenants with support, education, and skills training. This casual role promotes resident independence and stability.
As a Tenant Support Worker, you will be responsible for working closely with tenants and supporting their long-term needs.
Your role includes conducting assessments, offering crisis intervention, and ensuring all basic needs are met while maintaining records. You will also help liaise with volunteers and students on the team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Undertake tenant intakes and provide tailored support
• Identify and develop service plans for tenants
• Manage crisis situations and assist with finances
• Maintain and complete essential paperwork
• Support volunteer efforts and student training
Requirements:
• Diploma in Community Social Service required
• Class 5 BC Driver’s License if necessary
• Must hold OFA 1 First Aid Certificate
• Two years of relevant experience or equivalent
• Clearance for Criminal Record in Vulnerable Sector needed
