Family Engagement and Support Specialist

Join Métis Family Services as a Family Support Worker Float, working across critical programs to enhance family well-being and navigation of resources. This role focuses on fostering effective parenting and family interaction.

In this position, you'll provide comprehensive support across Family Engagement, Outreach Parenting, and Rapid Response programs. Your work will involve assessing family needs, delivering guidance, and helping clients build essential skills. Reporting directly to the Program Supervisor, you’ll be part of a dedicated team committed to enhancing family dynamics for positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage client support across various family programs

• Assess client situations through interviews and observations

• Offer problem-solving assistance to families

• Deliver parenting skills workshops and access supervision

• Collaborate in case management and reporting

Requirements:

• Degree in human/social services or related area

• One year of relevant family support experience

• Familiarity with child development and Indigenous cultures

• Effective communication and teamwork skills

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required
