Addictions Support Worker

Position: Addictions Support Worker - Full Time
Join Phoenix Society as an Addictions Support Worker in a full-time temporary role. This position focuses on providing compassionate support to clients facing mental health and substance use challenges.

As an Addictions Support Worker, you will engage in community building, case management, and group program support. Ideal candidates will possess strong skills in client advocacy, life skills assistance, and mental health awareness. Your contributions will significantly impact clients' journeys toward independent living and recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct case planning and client interviews for needs assessment

• Provide individual support and life skills coaching

• Facilitate Psycho-Educational workshops for clients

• Monitor client activities and ensure a safe environment

• Document client progress and maintain accurate records

Requirements:

• Diploma in Community Social Service or equivalent

• 2 years of experience in community support services

• Knowledge of concurrent disorders and harm reduction

• First Aid and CPR certification required

• Criminal records check completion necessary
