In this pivotal role, you will lead an access to justice initiative that prioritizes the unique needs of Métis people. You will leverage your project management skills to navigate the complexities of provincial and federal justice systems, while collaborating with various partners. This position demands emotional intelligence, strategic thinking, and cultural awareness to provide tailored support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage comprehensive access initiatives for Métis communities
• Build partnerships with government and community organizations
• Create and maintain accurate case records and documentation
• Provide trauma-informed, culturally sensitive support for individuals
• Respond to service requests via communication channels
Requirements:
• Five years’ experience in social or legal services required
• Diploma in relevant fields; bachelor's degree preferred
• Excellent communication skills with sensitivity to Indigenous issues
• Strong understanding of justice impacts on Métis peoples
• Capability to acquire a Class 5 driver’s license if necessary
