As an Indigenous Social Worker, you will collaborate with an interprofessional team to deliver culturally sensitive counseling services to First Nations, Métis, and Inuit clients. This includes assessing needs, developing recovery plans, and facilitating access to both health and traditional wellness services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide culturally appropriate counseling and support services
• Develop and implement recovery-oriented care plans
• Assess and evaluate client needs for mental health services
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Advocate for clients, assisting with health navigation
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work
• Two years of related experience in mental health
• Experience working with Indigenous people
• Current BC College of Social Workers registration
• Valid BC Driver’s Licence
