Surrey Addictions Support Worker

Join our team as an Intensive Support and Supervision Program Worker for youth addictions in Surrey, BC. This full-time role involves comprehensive support and supervision for youth in need.

This position is excellent for candidates with a background in social or human services and direct experience with high-risk youth. As an essential team member, you will develop effective strategies and offer supervision tailored to individual needs and court directives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement intervention strategies for youth

• Offer intensive one-on-one supervision in the community

• Monitor compliance with legal requirements and conduct checks

• Connect youth to vital social and educational resources

• Encourage participation in skill-building recreational activities

Requirements:

• Preferred Bachelor's in social sciences or related fields

• Minimum one year experience working with vulnerable youth

• Valid Basic First Aid certificate or willingness to acquire it

• Access to a vehicle for travels in the Fraser Valley

• Must meet BCGEU membership standards
