Join Fraser Health as an Indigenous Social Worker, supporting culturally informed care in Surrey, B.C. Utilize your skills to address the unique needs of Indigenous clients in a supportive environment.
As a key member of the health care team, you will engage in culturally relevant counseling and support for First Nations, Métis, and Inuit populations. This role involves developing recovery care plans, assessing client needs, and working closely with other services and community partners. Make a meaningful impact in your community while working in a diverse and respectful setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct culturally appropriate assessments of client needs
• Deliver case management and consultation services
• Create and evaluate care plans in collaboration with clients
• Assist clients in navigating the health system
• Participate in providing cultural teaching and support
Requirements:
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Social Work
• At least two years of relevant experience
• Experience with Indigenous communities
• Registration with BC College of Social Workers
• Access to a personal vehicle for work
