Join PCRS as a Shift Lead in Surrey, working with vulnerable youths in a transitional housing program. This role focuses on leadership, direct support, and crisis management during evening and weekend shifts.
As a Shift Lead, you will mentor staff, provide one-on-one support to young adults, and coordinate group activities focused on life skills. Your engagement will help youths achieve their goals, ensuring a supportive environment that encourages stability and independence. This position requires effective communication and the capacity to handle crisis situations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direction and support to on-shift staff
• Mentor and orient new team members
• Coordinate service delivery and programming
• Develop engaging relationships with youth participants
• Maintain accurate case notes and monitor program progress
Requirements:
• 2-Year Diploma in Child and Youth Care or related field
• 1 year of leadership experience in a related context
• Experience working with vulnerable youth populations
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to respond to crisis scenarios effectively
