The Youth Support Worker plays a crucial role in the Youth & Young Adult Program at Phoenix Center, promoting emotional and physical well-being. In this role, you will engage with clients aged 17-24, assisting them with immediate needs and helping them achieve their long-term goals. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is essential to providing effective support and fostering a safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Welcome and orient youth accessing services
• Develop relationships with at-risk youth and young adults
• Coordinate youth meetings and recreational activities
• Assist clients with daily living tasks and community access
• Respond to medical emergencies and document incidents
Requirements:
• Grade 12 and Community Social Service certificate
• One year of related experience with youth
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• First Aid with CPR-C-AED certification preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively and teach
