Reporting to the Manager of Kanikonriio Child and Youth Programs, you will focus on culturally appropriate rehabilitation and reintegration. Your work will involve providing educational resources and cultural supports to youth aged 12-17 who are navigating the legal system, aiming to prevent further offenses through community involvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design culturally relevant programs for at-risk youth
• Foster relationships with Indigenous families and communities
• Work directly with youth under probation or supervision
• Encourage rehabilitation through targeted educational efforts
• Engage community resources to support reintegration
Requirements:
• Background in social services or community work
• Familiarity with Indigenous culture and issues
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills
• Ability to engage youth in constructive activities
• Commitment to community service and youth empowerment
