Community Living Worker Life Skills Instructor

Become a vital part of the SOURCES team as a Community Living Worker serving adults with developmental disabilities. This permanent part-time position focuses on meaningful activities and support in Newton and the community.

We are seeking a passionate Life Skills Instructor to join our Discovery day program. In this role, you will be crucial in fostering independence and social participation while building relationships and coaching clients. Your empathetic approach will help facilitate a supportive environment as you guide individuals in achieving their best quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build relationships with individuals and families

• Coach and guide clients in daily activities

• Maintain a safe and positive work environment

• Keep progress notes and review client development

• Collaborate as part of a dedicated team

Requirements:

• Empathy and self-awareness in client engagement

• Initiative and integrity in daily tasks

• Experience with mental health and disabilities

• Valid Class 5 driver's license;
Class 4 within a year

• Ability to handle various physical demands of the job
