Focused on individualized support and mentoring, the Youth Outreach Worker will coordinate with schools, families, and community members to facilitate educational and personal growth for youth. Candidates must demonstrate experience in connecting with diverse populations, including Indigenous peoples and newcomers, ensuring an inclusive atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop personalized plans aiding youth educational goals
• Oversee and encourage youth involvement in the program
• Foster family engagement in educational initiatives
• Advocate for youth access to community support services
• Assist tutors and mentors to enhance youth interactions
Requirements:
• Proven experience with youth education and welfare
• Understanding of community and social services landscape
• Familiarity with the public education system grades 8-12
• Insight into the effects of racism and immigrant experiences
• Special needs support training or experience
