As a Casual Social Worker, you will conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and provide therapeutic clinical services at Surrey Memorial Hospital in Surrey, B.C. Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and community resources to facilitate care and improve service delivery.
Your role will also include documenting patient progress and participating in patient care planning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct psychosocial assessments of patients and families
• Provide grief and bereavement counseling
• Educate healthcare teams about adaptation and recovery
• Document patient records and maintain confidentiality
• Lead interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)
• One year recent clinical experience in acute care
• Full registration with the BC College of Social Workers
• Knowledge of community resources and services
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
