Become a Youth Support Worker with Pacific Community Resources Society's City Centre Youth Hub in Surrey, BC. This full-time role centers on outreach services and facilitating community support connections for youth.
Engage with youth under 19 in the Reconnect Program by providing street outreach and supportive case management. Your goal will be to develop connections that lead youths to essential resources in education, employment, and health. Utilize a flexible schedule to adapt to the needs of the youth you serve through constructive relationship-building.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide outreach services to youth in Surrey neighborhoods
• Establish rapport and ensure connection to community supports
• Facilitate youth participation in local activities
• Attend meetings to identify and address youth-specific needs
• Apply Counseling techniques for effective engagement
Requirements:
• 2-Year Diploma in Child and Youth Care or similar field
• Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree in related area
• Knowledge of youth mental health and addictions
• Strong relationship-building capabilities
• Commitment to inclusive practices
