Job Description
As a Senior Manager, you will collaborate with teams including Enterprise Architects, functional, business, and vendor teams across RBC to drive the execution of the HCM Program/Projects spanning planning, architecture, building, testing, and deployment phases.
This position also offers the chance to contribute to AI initiatives, where you will apply cutting‑edge AI technologies to enhance Workday systems and processes, driving innovation and efficiency across RBC’s HR ecosystem.
What You Will Do- Design and own end‑to‑end Workday integration & Extend solutions, ensuring scalability, security, performance, and long‑term maintainability.
- Lead integration & Extend strategy and design decisions, including inbound/outbound/Bi‑directional patterns, middleware usage, error handling, monitoring, and reusability.
- Translate business and functional requirements into robust technical integration designs aligned with enterprise standards and best practices.
- Serve as Technical Contact for Workday integrations / Extend requirements throughout the full lifecycle (Design, build, test, deploy, and support).
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to developers, reviewing designs, code, and configurations to ensure architectural integrity.
- Partner with HR Workday Functional Leads, enterprise architects, security teams, and third‑party vendors to deliver cohesive solutions.
- Establish and contribute to integration standards, patterns, documentation, and governance models.
- Support solution design across multiple Workday modules and external systems (SAP, Service Now, etc.).
The Role
- Strong experience designing and leading Workday integration & Extend solutions in complex enterprise environments.
- Deep expertise across Workday integration & Extend technologies like App development, EIB, Core & Cloud Connectors, PICOF/PECI, Workday Studio, BIRT, custom reports, and calculated fields.
- Solid technical background in REST & SOAP APIs, XML, XSLT, JSON, WSDL, WQL, Orchestrations, Web Services, Java, and/or .NET.
- Proven ability to design secure, scalable, and resilient integration/Extend solutions.
- Experience with middleware platforms (e.g., Mule Soft, Boomi, Shape In, Azure Integration Services) is an asset.
- Strong communication skills with ability to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Ability to develop integrations / Extend applications to support project requirements.
- Workday Implementation & Support Experience.
- 5+ years’ Experience in Workday Ecosystem.
- Must have led team of Technical Developers in the past.
