JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for an experienced Shipper/Receiver with a strong inventory background to support our warehouse operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting purchasing activities, and ensuring smooth material flow. Shippers and receivers ship, receive, pack, unpack, store and record the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment and stock to and from retailers, wholesalers, manufacturing companies and other commercial and private organizations.

Duties
Receive, inspect, count, and verify incoming goods against invoices and purchase ordersPerform staging counts, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliationSupport purchasing processes, including reviewing PO acknowledgements for accuracyItemize inventory and maintain accurate records in the systemProcess returns (damaged, incorrect, or surplus items) and ensure proper documentationPrepare shipments, packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping labelsCoordinate pickups and deliveries with carriers and customersOperate forklifts and material-handling equipment (training provided)Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work areaDirect delivery trucks to shipping doors or designated marshaling areas and help load/unload goods safelyInspect and count received goods, check against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damage goods.Return damaged items and route them correctlyUnpack and store goods in the appropriate storage areasComply with transportation of dangerous goods legislationKeep accurate records of items and trace lost shipments as neededConduct regular safety inspections, maintain safe working conditions, report safety hazards and ensure equipment is in good working orderOperate forklifts, hand trucks or other materials-handling equipment. Training provided.Type address labels or use computers to create shipping labels and perform record keeping functions.Call customers or carriers to co-ordinate pick-up and deliveryDocument processing – prepare, complete, sign, document, collect, match and forward bills of lading, pro bills, packing slips, receiving tallies, picking tickets etc. for processingFollows all safety policies including wearing appropriate safety attire at all timesGeneral housekeeping and other duties as required.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Hands-on experience with inventory counts, returns processing, and PO reviewStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to read and interpret inventory and shipping documentsProficient with Microsoft OfficePhysically capable of lifting up to 100 lbsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
1–2+ years’ experience in shipping/receiving with a strong inventory control focusForklift experience an assetValid driver’s licenseThis position is a new vacancy
