- Education:
No degree, certificate or diploma - Experience:
1 year to less than 2 years Work site environment - In/on water
- Wet/damp Tasks
- Determine areas for fishing and plot courses
- Estimate costs of operations in terms of labour, equipment and maintenance
- Steer vessels and operate navigational instruments and electronic fishing aids
- Operate fishing vessels and fishing gears
- Transport fish to processing plants or fish buyers
- Maintain engine, fishing gear and other on-board equipment
- Record fishing progress, crew activities, weather and sea conditions on ship's log Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
- Marine Emergency Duties Certificate
- Commercial Fishing Licence Work conditions and physical capabilities
- Handling heavy loads
- Attention to detail
- Bending, crouching, kneeling Employment terms options
