Job Summary:
Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, the Food and Supply Delivery Driver is responsible for making deliveries safely and in a timely manner to our various Phoenix Society housing locations. Additionally, this position will cover some light kitchen duties as required. Also, from time to time, be able to work/drive for sister sites and phoenix food truck as needed.
Responsibilities:
Loading, transporting, and delivering items to our various housing locations in a safe, timely manner.Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are completed.Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.Sanitize inside / outside of Cambro carts when they are back after meal service delivery.Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints if necessary.Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries.Operating equipment the transportation vehicle in a proper manner.Qualifications:
Academic:
High School diploma or Prior delivery driving experience is an asset.English: fluent and able to effectively communicate professionally, orally and written, in English.Satisfactory Criminal Records Check ReviewValid BC driver's license.Clean driving record.Experience may be required or preferred.Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.Strong time management and customer service skills.Ability to drive, lift and carry heavy items for extended periods.Attention to detail.Must be eligible to work in Canada.Negative Tuberculosis Screening Certificate.Competencies:
