Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Join MiTek's team as a Shipping and Receiving Specialist II in Surrey, BC. This role, with Monday to Friday hours, emphasizes secure cargo handling and team collaboration.

You'll be responsible for proper shipping procedures, from packing to loading cargo onto trucks using forklifts. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace is key, as well as ensuring that inventory is safely stored. Good communication skills will enhance your effectiveness in this varied role within the warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bundle, wrap, and prepare materials for shipment

• Load and unload materials with a forklift

• Complete general maintenance and yard duties

• Sort cargo prior to loading and unloading

• Ensure safety procedures are followed during operations

Requirements:

• High school education or equivalent required

• Previous warehouse experience is an advantage

• Forklift certification or experience preferred

• Ability to consistently lift up to 50 lbs

• Good communication and teamwork skills are necessary
