Forklift Operator – Vancouver Reload Division, Arrow Transportation Services.

Full‑time, Permanent.
Compensation
CA $27–29 per hour.
Shift Schedule
Day Shift – 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
Afternoon Shift – 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities
Operate high‑capacity forklifts (up to 25,000 lbs).
Load and unload lumber, steel, engineered wood products, and containers from trucks, railcars or container units.
Secure commodities on railcars using appropriate rigging, tie‑downs and safety procedures.
Work at heights while inspecting, loading, and securing freight, following fall protection and safety regulations.
Support inventory control (inbound/outbound/on‑ground) and accurately document operations.
Prepare load plans for railcars, trucks and/or containers.
Perform routine maintenance on forklifts and auxiliary equipment.
Assist with yard clean‑up, equipment cleaning, cutting steel banding, and disposal monitoring.
Inspect and verify product condition to ensure cleanliness and compliance with loading procedures.
Follow all safe work practices, procedures and regulatory requirements.
Suggest improvements to working conditions or equipment usage to increase efficiency.
May be requested to travel to other transload terminals for assistance.
Perform additional duties as instructed by supervisor.
Qualifications
Previous experience operating high‑capacity forklifts (25,000 lbs) – asset.
Previous experience loading and unloading commodities from trucks or railcars – asset.
Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly.
Comfortable working outside in all weather conditions.
Comfortable working at heights exceeding 10 feet with fall protection equipment.
Positive attitude and solid interpersonal skills.
