School Bus Driver Schools

Drive safely and effectively as a Bus Driver with Surrey Schools. This role involves transporting students and maintaining vehicle safety in an inclusive school district environment.

As a Bus Driver reporting to the Manager of Transportation, you will operate a 76-passenger school bus for safe student transport to and from schools and events. Your daily responsibilities include conducting pre/post-trip vehicle inspections, monitoring student behavior, and keeping the bus clean. This position requires effective communication and public relations skills to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily vehicle safety checks and inspections

• Drive students to and from school and extracurricular events

• Monitor student conduct and report issues as necessary

• Maintain cleanliness of bus interior and exterior

• Complete necessary forms and reports accurately

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 or Class 2 BC Driver’s license with air brake endorsement

• Understanding of basic vehicle mechanics and servicing

• Ability to communicate effectively in English

• Capability to perform safety inspections

• Successful completion of the bus driving test required
