Long Haul Truck Driver

Key Duties
- Operate and drive heavy trucks to transport goods over long distances.
- Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation for transporting goods.
- Perform inspections:
Pre-trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections of vehicle systems (tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, etc.). - Ensure cargo is secured properly per safety requirements.
- Record and maintain logs:
Cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption. - Administer bills of lading and maintain log books (manually or electronically).
- Communicate with dispatchers, drivers, and customers via on‑board computers or communication devices.
- Load and unload goods (as needed).
- Obtain special permits for international routes.
- Follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods.
- Perform emergency roadside repairs.
- Drive as part of a two‑person team or convoy.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Entry Level / No experience required
- English language proficiency
- 40-50 hours per week
- Permanent, Full‑time employment
- 50‑75% overnight travel required
- Work locations:
