OVERVIEW

Ensure the efficient coordination and transport of goods from international suppliers to our 7 global distribution centers. The ideal candidate will report to the Logistics Manager and should possess expertise in international freight (Air + Ocean) and freight management. An in-depth understanding of international trade regulations and the ability to execute cost-effective and timely deliveries are required. Compliance with legislation, regulations, and other import and export requirements for commercial shipments is essential.

Using reports, freight information and knowledge of transportation trends, develop seasonal shipping plans to hit global launch dates. Utilize internal and external tools/software to ensure timely shipping, customs clearance and delivery to the Stüssy regional DCs.

RESPONSIBILITIES Global Logistics
  • Execute import/export logistics strategies and procedures to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods
  • Coordinate all shipments of materials and finished goods from production locations to 3PL DCs..
  • Booking and management of Air, Sea and Land shipments in accordance with ex-factory/required delivery dates.
  • Communicate with relevant internal stakeholders on late shipments and/or market conditions impacting service.
  • Review and update transit reports for all origins and modes of transport.
  • Shipment track & trace, and making delivery arrangements with Distribution/3PL
  • Resolve in transit operational issues within a timely manner.
  • Maintain delivery dates and general shipping information in the ERP system (Full Circle) within SLA.
  • Ensure vendor invoice accuracy and packing lists are processed timely and accurately.
  • Maintain good relationships with Freight Forwarders, Couriers, Customs Broker and Trucking companies.
  • Pre/Post-audit of all import documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.

Other related duties and assignments as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

4 Year College Degree preferred.

Experience in vertical retail in the clothing industry is preferred.

Minimum 3 years’ experience with Freight forwarding, Import /Export & Customs Compliance.

Familiarity with import/export process, air and ocean transportation, trucking, US Customs & OGA

Working Knowledge of Incoterms, Customs Rules and Regulations, HTS Classification Codes for Clothing and Accessories
