Class 1, Mountain Interior Driver

Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent

Schedule: Interior BC Driver with 1 night in bunk, (Varies within HOS), 4 days on 4 days off

Position Summary

Commerce Link Logistics is looking for a dedicated and safety-oriented Class 1 Drivers to join our team. This role involves transporting goods within the interior of BC and spending1 night in the bunk, ensuring on-time deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate Class 1 tractor-trailer units safely on regional routes
  • Perform timely pickup and delivery of freight across Alberta
  • Complete pre-trip, enroute, and post-trip inspections
  • Ensure proper securement of all loads in compliance with safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate electronic or paper logbooks (E-Logs preferred)
  • Comply with all Alberta and Canadian transportation regulations, including Hours of Service
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding routes, delays, and updates
  • Provide professional customer service at delivery and pickup locations
  • Report any incidents, delays, or mechanical concerns promptly
  • Follow all Commerce Link Logistics policies and safety procedures

Qualifications

  • Valid British Columbia Class 1 Driver’s License
  • Clean driver’s abstract and strong safety record
  • Minimum 2 years of Class 1 driving experience, 1 year mountain driving
  • Previous Regional experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of British Columbia highways and regional routes
  • Experience with dry van, reefer, and heater is an asset
  • Chain-up and mountain driver experience,1 year
  • Strong safety mindset and compliance focus
  • Reliable and punctual with strong time management skills
  • Problem-solving ability in changing road and weather conditions
  • Professional communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
