The Forklift Operator handles dock materials, large freight, and tight-corner driving in a distribution setting. This assignment includes independent and team-based work, lifting requirements, and compliance with TDG, WHMIS, company procedures, and customer-specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Organize inbound freight for city and linehaul trailers
- Organize outbound freight for scheduled trailers
- Operate sit-down forklifts in dock areas
- Handle large and cumbersome freight
- Load and unload dock materials
- One to two years minimum forklift experience
- Current valid forklift license
- Online safety training including Transportation of Dangerous Goods
- Steel-toe safety boots
- Reliable transportation because no bus route serves the location
