Education:

Secondary (high school) graduation certificate.

Experience:

Will train or equivalent experience.

• Address customers' complaints or concerns.
• Demonstrate professionalism in customer service.
• Drive lighter, special purpose trucks.
• Load and unload goods.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• Pay and receive payments for goods.
• Perform pre‑trip, en route and post‑trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.

• Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2‑axle vehicles).
• Documentation knowledge.
• Inspection report (pre‑trip, en‑route, post‑trip) experience.
• Trip reports experience.
• Refrigerated transportation/travel experience.
• Local short‑haul.
• Security and safety compliance.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Driving record check (abstract).
• Transportation/travel information knowledge.
• Ability to use cellular phone and personal equipment.

All relevant certificates, licences, memberships, and courses should be held.

• Attention to detail.
• Physically demanding; weight handling up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• Own tools/equipment.
• Steel‑toed safety boots and gloves required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and oral communication.
• Flexibility, organization, reliability, and team player expected.

• Early morning.
• Flexible schedule (morning, day, weekend).
