Management Accountant

Management Accountant South Devon £40,000 - £50,000 per annum Our client, a well-established organisation, is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team on a full-time, long-term temporary basis. As the Management Accountant, you'll provide key financial insight across management accounts, budgeting, reporting and financial controls. Working closely with budget holders and senior stakeholders, you'll support informed decision-making while contributing to process improvements and wider business projects.

The responsibilities:
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports Provide clear financial commentary and analysis Complete month-end journals, accruals and prepayments Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning Monitor financial performance and investigate variances Produce KPIs, reports and financial information Support statutory accounts, VAT and audit requirements Maintain fixed asset records and financial systems Provide financial guidance to budget holders and stakeholders The candidate: ACCA, ACA, CIMA or AAT Level 4 qualified, candidates qualified by experience will also be considered.

Proven experience in a Management Accountant role. Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting processes. Good understanding of journals, reconciliations and month-end procedures. Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical ability. Confident communicator, able to present financial information clearly.
