General Foreman

Position: General Foreman (Permanent)
A Leading Regional civil engineering contractor are recruiting a General Foreman to join their busy Southeastern Division.

The successful candidate will have experience of delivering civil engineering projects.

Typically, the company deliver projects in the following sectors;

* Highways and Bridges

* Earthworks and remediation

* Environment Agency Works

* Ministry of Defence Works

* Development Infrastructure

* Flood Alleviation schemes

* Marine and Coastal Projects

You will be required to make decisions, motivate the team and drive the project towards a timely and profitable finish.

Duties include:

* Ordering plant, labour and materials

* Leading toolbox talks, daily briefings and site inductions

* Working with the Site Agent and commercial team to raise early warning notices

* Promote the highest levels of health and safety on site

* Liaise with stakeholders on public facing projects

* Ensure your work force is working safely, effectively and efficiently

* Reading drawings with the site engineer to coordinate gangs and overcome design difficulties

* Ensure risk assessments and method statements and being adhered to
