We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join our client, initially on a freelance basis, with an option to go permanent. Managing a portfolio of retail construction projects across Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire.

The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing 2-3 live projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Working closely with Site Managers, clients, subcontractors, consultants and the commercial team, you will oversee projects from pre-construction through to completion while maintaining excellent client relationships throughout.
Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple live retail construction projects across Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire.
Oversee projects from mobilisation through to successful handover.
Produce, monitor and update detailed construction programmes.
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to specification.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
Liaise closely with utility providers, local authorities, subcontractors and consultants to ensure programmes remain on track.
Coordinate and support Site Managers, subcontractors and suppliers.
Chair progress meetings and provide regular project updates.
Identify and resolve project risks and challenges proactively.
Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
Maintain exceptional quality standards across all projects.
Report into a regional Director
Based Remotely or on the projects.
Visiting the projects once a week.
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience as a Project / Contracts Manager within the construction industry.
A strong background delivering retail or leisure projects.
Experience successfully managing 2-3 live projects simultaneously.
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple projects.
Strong client-facing skills with the confidence to build long-term relationships.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Be highly IT literate and confident using Microsoft Office and construction management software.
Experience producing and managing detailed construction programmes.
A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Experience liaising with utility companies, local authorities, subcontractors and professional consultants.
Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
Full UK driving licence.

CSCS Card (Black Or White)
